Welcome to our little world of Postage Stamps Central. I hope you find what you’re looking for but if you don’t, thanks for stopping by. It’s often asked what is art and what is Postage Stamps Central? Art is, to me at least, that which is pleasing to the eye of the beholder. And Postage Stamps Central is simply a place where that art can be expressed on Personalized Custom Postage Stamps.

Postage Stamps Central was started as a place where artists from around the world could express their art and views with more exposure than they’d normally have and do it in a way that’s respectful of everyone’s opinions and thoughts. That doesn’t mean you won’t find things that make you squirm a bit or challenge your thinking. Hopefully it’s done in a way that puts a smile on your face and thoughts in your head.

I’m J Douglas and yes, that’s really a picture of me. While I’ve enjoyed a long career in graphics I enjoy even more seeing other artists work. Until recently I didn’t have the time…or patience…to put together a place like Postage Stamps Central. The project has been rewarding simply because of the various people I’ve met and come into contact with as the site has grown. It is done primarily for them. For now I live and work in a small community in North Dakota, USA.

Besides the question of why I started Postage Stamps Central the most often asked question is about the tools I use. Mostly it’s Photoshop but I’ve been a fan of 3D since the very earliest version of Bryce was released. So included in the tool bag is Vue 8, Cinema4D, TrueSpace (there just isn’t anything out that does what it can do at times) Groboto, Elefont, Paint Shop Pro, Gimp, and a few others.

Take the time to browse, click on a few links, check out the wares of the contributors you find. And hopefully you’ll find something that you like, fall in love with, can’t live without, puts a smile on your face or the faces of others. There really is something here for everyone. The offerings shown change on a daily basis so check back often.
